On September 30th, students gathered on the middle school field for one of the most anticipated events of the fall: Powder Puff. The annual flag football showdown brought energy and friendly competition as grade levels faced off under the sunlight.
This year’s event had a unique twist. For the second game of the night, the freshmen and sophomores combined forces to take on the seniors, creating an even more competitive and exciting matchup. The teamwork and determination on the field kept the crowd engaged from start to finish.
Beyond the touchdowns and cheering sections, Powder Puff had an even bigger purpose. All proceeds from the event were donated to Austin’s Hope, an organization aimed to bring hope to those impacted by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy that a team of seniors were highlighting for their DECA written event.
“””the event was a great turnout, and we raised a profit of around 1700 to donate to Austin’s Hope.”
By attending and supporting the game, students and families helped make a meaningful impact while enjoying a fun night with friends. They raised over $1500.
Powder Puff once again showed how our school community can come together to celebrate school spirit while making a difference beyond the field.
